Warren Recruiting’s client, a publicly traded company, is seeking an Environmental Counsel to join its legal team in a newly created, high-impact role supporting operations across the U.S.
This is a unique opportunity to help build and shape the environmental legal function while working closely with business and operational leadership.
The position is open to remote candidates, with a preference for those open to relocation to Texas.
Key Responsibilities:
• Advise on environmental regulatory compliance (CAA, CWA, RCRA, CERCLA)
• Support permitting and operational strategy across multiple jurisdictions
• Manage environmental litigation and outside counsel
• Partner closely with operations, engineering, and compliance teams
• Interface with state, federal, and local regulators
Qualifications:
• 5+ years of environmental law experience
• Strong background in federal and state environmental regulations
• Experience with solid waste, landfills, transfer stations, or recycling operations preferred
• Practical, business-oriented approach with strong communication skills
