Bankruptcy and Restructuring Attorney in Houston, Texas
Warren Legal Recruiting’s client, the Houston office of a top national firm is seeking a junior to mid-level associate for a position in the firm’s Bankruptcy and Restructuring Practice. The ideal candidate has 2-5 years of bankruptcy and restructuring experience representing both creditors and chapter 11 debtors, but this is a RARE opportunity because the firm is willing and committed to training an associate who has an interest in this practice area.
The firm will train a junior associate, ideally, a federal clerk who has recently completed a clerkship and is looking for a position (as these matters are all pending in federal court). The firm will also “retrain” a lawyer who has strong academics and is interested in joining a hybrid practice with both a transactional and litigation component.
This is a rare opportunity for a junior associate to join a thriving national bankruptcy and restructuring practice with the ability to manage restructurings and have direct client contact. The associate will provide thorough factual and legal research and analysis on bankruptcy matters in federal court; draft necessary agreements and documents with efficiency and clarity; and serve as a key associate on restructurings and in various aspects of due diligence, negotiation and document drafting of chapter 11 documentation. Compensation is at the top of the Texas market.
